The diagram below shows the stages and equipment used in the cement-making process, and how the cement is used to produce concrete for building purpose.
The diagrammatic representation depicts the procedures through which cement and concrete are made.
Overall, it can be manifested that the process of cement making comprises of total four steps which commence with crushing of limestone and clay and culminates with the packaging of cement into bags. While the process of concrete making has only one step of mixing all the raw materials.
Initially, on the first stage, the limestone and clay are crushed to form a powder. Once the powder has been formed, it is put into the mixture machine to amalgamate it properly. Having been mixed properly, this mixture sent to the rotating heater followed by grinding of it. The fine powder which has received after grinding procedure is a cement. Finally, the cement is packed into bags.
Secondly, in the process of concrete production, among the whole concrete mixer, half proportion (50%) of gravel and one fourth (25%) proportion of sand is used. The cement and water used by a proportion of 15% and 10% respectively. All these raw material are mixed by a concrete mixture machine to make concrete.
