The picture depicts the recycling process of liquid domestic and industrial wastes.
Overall, there are a total of four main stages, beginning with delivering effluent through the filter screen and ending with discharging recycled water to rivers or seas.
The first stage is to send effluent from factories and housings to the filter screen. In this stage, large suspended particles found in effluent are sent to an incinerator whereas the water will continue to the next stage. Then, the unprocessed water is delivered to the bacteria digestion tank, where there is an addition starter culture. Bacteria free sludge attracted from the water is sent to a sludge lagoon and it is placed under the sun for evaporation before turning into dried sludge. The dried sludge after being dried is used as landfill. The next stage is to add chlorine to the water in a disinfection tank before ending with delivering clean water back to rivers and seas.
