The diagram represents the production process of chocolate.
In general, there are 10 stages starting from planting a cacao tree and ending with pressing the inner part to make liquid chocolate. In order to make chocolate, ripe red cacao seeds have to undergo numerous physical, chemical, and biological steps to become liquid chocolate.
In the first stage, cacao trees are planted in South America, Africa, and Indonesia with the purpose of harvesting ripe red pods. When the pods are able to harvest, their skin is removed and broken into halves in order to collect the white cocoa beans. After that, beans are fermented and dried under the sun.
Beans, then are gathered in large sacks and delivered using train or lorry to the manufacturer where they will be roasted at 350 Celsius Degrees. After being roasted, beans are moved to a crushing machine where the outer shells are removed. The inner parts of the beans then undergo a pressing stage using two rollers to make liquid chocolate.
