The diagram shows how rainwater is collected for the use of drinking water in an Australian town
The diagram illustrates how an Australian town is collecting rainwater and further using it for drinking purposes.
Overall, the whole process tells us about the treatment of rainwater with filters and chemicals and later used
for consumption.
Initially, the rainwater which falls on the rooftop is collected by the gutter and then runs down the pipe
at the side of the house into the drain at the bottom. Each dwelling place accumulates the stormwater in this manner and
rainwater is passed along the underground drains to the water filtrate.
In water filter rainwater is treated and all the impurities are removed. Once, it is filtered, it continues
along the pipe to a storage tank. From this point, water goes from storage tank to water treatment. At this stage
it removes all the chemicals from water and is ready for consumption. After the water is cured it travels along the pipe
that led to the accomodation in the town where people can use it for daily consumption.
