The given diagram illustrates the main stages which take place in the process of producing drinking water by using rainwater in an Australian town.
Overall, it is noteworthy that there are four main steps in how rainwater is collected for the use of drinking water in an Australian town starting with collecting rainwater. Additionally, the most noticeable feature is that there are two stages that require storage tanks.
At the first stage of the process, rainwater is collected in gutters on rooftops and runs down the pipes at the side of every house, and it enters the drain underground before being transferred to a water filter. Rainwater is then filtered to remove any toxic substance or elements. Subsequently, water flows into a storage tank and be ready for the next stage.
After being pumped into a second reservoir, water is treated and added some chemicals for people’s consumption. Eventually, drinking water continues to be transferred back to houses along pipes and ready for Australian towners to utilize for their daily needs.
