The picture illustrates the way in which water passes from oceans to air to land known as the water cycle. This process consists of three main stages: evaporating ocean water, falling as rain and running back to oceans again.
Beginning at the evaporation stage, it is estimated that about 80% water pour in the air comes from oceans. As a result of sun's heat, water starts to evaporate before it is condensated to clouds. In the next stage, precipitation falls as rain or snow to the ground.
Afterwards, rainwater takes various paths. Some of it may fall into lakes or come back oceans via surface runoff. In addition, rainwater or snowmelt water is absorbed into the ground to form groundwater. Finally, salt water intrusion is took place just before groundwater passes into the oceans to complete the water cycle.
In conclusion, the circulation of water in nature concludes three steps which are mentioned above
