The diagrams below show changes in Felixstone in the UK between 1967 and 2001.
Given are the two maps depicting the development of the Felixstone throughout the period of time, commencing from 1967 to 2001.
Perceptibly, this area totally transformed by the appearance of multiple accommodations and entertainment services.
Heading north, there were no changes in position through 34 years with the golf course kept remaining in the west, meanwhile, farmland was removed and replaced by the complex quarter in the east, which contained a hotel, a swimming pool and two tennis courts. In the midst of these two areas, while a line of shops located on the left side of the high street was untouched but expanded in size, the ones on the opposite were transferred into apartments.
Moving south, the natural area of dunes and trees were still preserved, yet there was a new appearance of wind turbines to the west. In addition, the adjacent hotel was redesigned by narrowing and moving up a bit to the right-hand side to give more space to the new car park. In the interim, the central cafe witnessed changes in its position when it was relocated a bit to its south after the years of modifications. Moreover, to fully exploit the sea in Felixstone, all the marina, pier and fish market that previously occupied the rest of the seafront area were knocked out to feature the public and private beach for tourists.
