The tables present the statistical data on the change in the percentage of reasons for choosing an abroad university over 11-year period from 1998 to 2008 by sexes in Taiwan.
Paying attention to diagrams, it can be clearly seen that the university's ranking was usually the highest consideration with both two genders over the period of time.
A series of data revealed that all male learners who took part in the research said that the grade was their most reflection. However, this reason decreased significantly by 100% to 90% in 2008 (the third considerable reason). Although teaching techniques and tutors' ability shared the same ratio in 1998 with a fifth each, by the year 2008, the teachers' quality was more considered (7%) than the teaching methods (only 2%). In addition, the teaching techniques were also the least considerable element with the boy students, just 8% in 1998. Additionally, the university facilities possessed the highest change in the survey of the counterparts, a decline of nearly a quarter, from 66% to just 42%.
In conclusion, due to the change in awareness and favourite, the reasons for why attending an oversea university has altered significantly.
