The diagrams illustrate 3 different types of bridges.
The diagrams given depict the structures of three distinct kinds of bridges.
It is evident from the diagrams that each type is characterized by its height and the number of piers used to build. Additionally, locations like a lake, a river and a sea are only appropriate for specific kinds.
Regarding the arch bridge, which has a length of approximately 200 meters, it is erected in a lake with the height of no more than 100 meters, enabling a small ship to cross. About the concrete girder bridge, this bridge is only suitable to be erected across a river. Besides that, while its length is not limited because this type of bridge depends on the number of piers, the span between 2 piers needs to be below 200 meters, compared to a space of no more than 300 meters between the bridge and the riverbed. In addition, this height facilitates the movement of a middle-sized ship.
In terms of the suspension bridge, which is only built across a sea, 2 piers, which are 400-2000 meters apart from each other, are required to construct this bridge. Meanwhile, the height of the suspension bridge is quite deep, which permits a ship whose size is very large to move across.
