Essay topics:

El Nino is the name of a warm ocean current that affects weather patterns on both sides of the Pacific Ocean. The diagrams compare normal conditions in the Pacific with El Nino conditions.

The weather differences between Normal Conditions in the Pacific and El Nino condition is illustrated in the diagrams. Overall, while Normal Condition has a positive impact on agriculture and the fishing industry, ElNino Conditions does more harm than good in Australia and Peru.

At the Normal conditions, trade winds blow stronger than the western pacific wind. The result of this creates storm clouds and rain in Australia, which is beneficial for the local vegetation. At the same time, warm water is pushed back, which leads to the rise of "cool water" packed with rich nutrients. Therefore, Peru experienced an increase in the fishing industry.

On the other hand, the western wind is dominant at the El Nino condition pushing storm clouds to the East Pacific. As a result, Australian plant lives greatly suffer in drought. Simultaneously, warm water pushed eastwards, and rain in Peru keep "cool water" to stay dormant at a low level. Eastern Ocean is no longer benefited from rich nutrients from "cool water" so Peru witnessed a tremendous loss in the fishing sector.
