The table illustrates the information on the distance travelled by visitors in a European in different modes of transportation from 1995 to 2005 and predicted to 2015
Overall, it is clear that buses and rails were the most preferred transportation categories but the air gained popularity in the recent years.
One particularly interesting fact is that from a mere 2000 miles travel in airway in 1995, it is expected to soar ten times in 2015. Likewise, 38000 miles were travelled by using rails which rising to 48000 miles in 2005 and projected to grow by 12000 miles in 2015. Meanwhile, distance travelled by motorbikes and bicycles were less popular than that of others transports and slightly decline by 3000 miles and 1000 miles in 2005 respectively, followed by a modest increase in 2015.
By contrast, visiting by buses were witnessed a gradual decrease from 56000 miles in 1995 to 50000 miles by 2005 and then expected to fall to 48000 miles at the end of period. However, commuters in this country travelled total 103000 miles in 1995 and it is predicted to rise to 138000 miles in 2015.
