Overall, it is clearly from the first chart that the figure for heating is the highest among the categories, while the proportion of water heating is the highest on the second chart. And the figure for cooling and lighting is the lowest on the two pie charts.
According to the data on the first chart, energy is used for heating the most in an average Australian household, account for 42 percent, and followed by water heating, with 30 percent. Australian household spend less energy on other appliances, with 15 percent. And the percentage of refrigeration, lighting and cooling is the lowest, with 7 percent, 4 percent and 2 percent respectively.
Looking at the second chart, it can be seen that the highest proportion among the categories is water heating, account for 32 percent, which is 2 percent higher than that on the first chart. The figure for other appliances is the second highest, with 28 percent. The percentage of greenhouse gas emissions from heating and refrigeration are almost the same, with 15 percent and 14 percent respectively. The greenhouse gas emissions from cooling and lighting in an average Australian household is the least, account for 3 percent and 8 percent respectively.
