The two pie charts delineate the proportion of different power used and the levels of emission of greenhouse gas in Australian families.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is obvious that the majority of power used in Australia was heating, and the emission which was emitted into the atmosphere the most was water heating.
As is presented in the first pie chart, it can be seen that the highest amount of energy used in Australia was heating, took up 42%, almost was three times higher than other appliances and was one-half in comparison to water heating. In addition, Australian household who used energy for cooling, lighting, and refrigeration were in the minority, registering 2%, 4%, and 7% respectively.
As for the rate of emission of greenhouse gas which was used in Australia, we can see that the figure for water heating and other appliances occupied roughly one-third of the total. Following that, the percentage of greenhouse gas which was emitted into the atmosphere for heating and refrigeration was halved lower than the two aforementioned purposes. Finally, the record for the cooling and light were lowest rate, accounting for 3% and 8% in turn.
