The pie charts compare energy usage from various activities in Australia, and the CO2 emission level from those activities.
Overall, there are 6 activities that consume energy in Australia, including heating, water heating, refrigeration, cooling, lighting and other appliances. The majority of energy is used for heating, while cooling is the lowest. Although, the main human activities are heating, but water heating shows it emits the highest rate of CO2 gas.
According to the first pie chart, over 70 percent of energy is used for making heat which contains of heating and water heating, 42 percent and 30 percent respectively. However, other appliances, refrigeration, lighting and cooling are the rest 30 percent where other appliances are the largest in this group with around half of it.
However, the evidence shows that water heating is covered for 32 percent of CO2 emission, but that of other appliances are higher than its usage almost 2 times, 28 percent. While, heating is only 15 percent, lower than its usage almost 3 times. Refrigeration, lightning and cooling are less cause of greenhouse gas at 14%, 8% and 3% respectively.
