Overall, there is a significantly increasing number of United Kingdom residents who traveled abroad from 1994 to 1998. It is mostly for an excursion on the holidays.
Initially, in 1994, there were 22,702 UK residents who went abroad, and 15,246 of them had a holiday vacation. Whereas, 3,155 of them went on a business trip. After a year the total number of travelers declined slightly to more than a thousand but had it's come back on the following year and rose gradually to 28,828 in the year 1998.
Furthermore, their most favorite travel destination is in Western Europe that accounts for almost 20,000 residents in 1994. But, it had fallen to 18,000 in 1995, until it rose up and reached it's peaked to 25,000 in 1998. There is also a small proportion of travel goers who went to other areas.
