The diagram illustrates the process of recycling glass bottle through three stages.
Overall, there are three main steps in this process, beginning with collecting wasted glass bottles, and ending with making new bottles to be used in various products.
The first stage is that unwanted glass bottles are collected and stored at collection point. Then a large number of waste bottles are transferred to glass factory to be recycled. The second stage starts at removing impurities under high pressure water and sorting them into different colours. Next, the tiny pieces crushed from glass bottles are melted in furnace whose temperature is from 600 to 800oC. Following that, recycled liquid glass is moulded to become new bottles with desire shapes. New liquid glass is also experienced similar final step before being a new bottles.
The final stage is to use new glass bottles for proper human purposes, such as decorating or packaging water, food, or any liquid. Glass bottles are then sent to supermarket to be consumed again.
