The flowchart below shows the recycling process of aluminium cans

The production of aluminium cans through recycling process in six stages is illustrated in the flowchart.

Overall, the second-hand cans are collected from the bin. After several processess, the new cans are ready to reuse and sell in the UK.

To begin with, the used drink cans are collected from the trash bin. Following this, the cans are cleaned and sorted in the processing machine before being shredded and compressed into cubes. Having undergone this step, such cubes are melted down manually in the high temperature furnace, resulting in bars of new aluminium.

After the bars have been created, those are formed into sheets which have 2.5 mm - 6 mm thick, and such sheets are rolled up in the rolling machine. Afterward, the product are transported to beverage manufacturers as recycled bottles. Finally, customers in UK reuse the product, and the number of recycling product accounts for 74%.
