As is illustrated by the chart, different types of transportation are used by travellers throughout the period (1960, 1980, and 2000). It is measured by percentage of total travellers.
Overall, bike and foot mode are slightly different from each other during the above mentioned period, while car and bus usage is higher than other transportation.
In addition, the proportion of cars is rose up from a small minority (5%) to slightly more than a third (35%) during the period from 1980 to 2000, and reached its peak in 2000 accounted to less than two fifths (37%). Also, around less than a fifth (18%) of travellers used bus in 1980, outnumbered the usage of bus went up to a quarter (25%) in 1980. In contrast, the usage dipped to less than a fifth (15%) in 2000.
Besides, the figure for using bike in 1960, 1980 was slightly different by accounting for (a quarter, a fifth respectively), then it slumped to a small minority around (5%) in 2000. Moreover, the number of foot walking hit the highest point by more than a third in 1960, while it went down from less than a fifth to approximately around one in ten throughout the period from 1980 to 2000.
