Essay topics:

The following table gives statistics showing the aspect of quality of life in five countries. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The table compares and contrasts the differences in the data about the living standard in the five countries, including Bangladesh, Bolivia, Egypt, Indonesia, and the USA in 1982. Generally speaking, quality of life in the USA was the highest among the five selected countries with top GDP at 13160 US dollars per head.

It can be seen from the table that Bolivia, Egypt, and Indonesia possessed a similar level of indicators. Egypt had the highest living standard amongst the three with 690 US dollars and 2950 calorie per head. However, its infant mortality was pretty lower than Bolivia’s at 97 per 1000 live births compared to 124 in Bolivia.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh experienced the lowest quality of life in all the indicators. Its GDP was one hundred times smaller than the USA’s. In the same manner, the figures for daily calorie supply and life expectancy at birth were about half those of the USA. Conversely, its infant mortality rate was the greatest amongst the five at 132 per 1000 live births.
