GALLERY
The two maps illustrate changes in the layout of an art gallery ground floor
between 2005 and the present.
Overall, the art gallery has undergone several alterations including the
rearrangement of the functional rooms and the addition of new facilities. These changes have
made it more visitor-friendly and accessible.
The three exhibition rooms to the right of the entrance have remained
unchanged in terms of size and position. Wheelchair access has been improved with the
installation of a ramp at the entrance to the art gallery and a lift next to the stairs at the back of
the entrance hall. Furthermore, the rectangular reception desk has been replaced with a round
one and relocated from the left to the middle of the entrance hall, facing the entrance.
On the left of the map, it is clear that the gallery room has been moved to
replace the ‘café & shop’ area in the top left corner, and a vending machine selling coffee and
food is now seen in front of the new gallery room. Exhibition Room 4 now is now dedicated to
temporary exhibitions and a children’s interactive playground.
