The bar chart illustrates the number of students who study at university in the UK and the pie chart shows the percentage of students family's income in 1991 and the line chart describes the amount of money that governments spend on each student from 1991 to 2001.
Overall, the middle income family had the largest percentage and there was a fall of funded money for each student by the government and the total number of people who study at university in the UK increased gradually.
First of all, in 1991, the total number of pupils studied at university in the UK was about 1000000 people then rose slightly to over 15000000 people in the next 6 years. Secondly, this figure reached a peak at over 2000000 people in 1991 before reducing to 2000000 students in 2001.
Thirdly, unlike the total number of students, there was a huge change in the amount of money that governments spend on each student in the UK university, which decreased dramatically from 6500 pounds to under 5000 pounds in 1996 then remained this number to 2001. In addition, according to the pie chart, the proportion of family income in each student, which had the largest percentage was the middle income about 62%. The second family economic background in the UK university was the high income, which took 32% while 8% left was the low income.
