The graph and table below give information about water use worldwide and water consumption in two different countries Cambridge 6 test 1 task 1

The line graph compares data on the amount of water usage for three different sectors in the world from 1990 to 2000 and the table shows Brazil and Democratic Republic of Congo in terms of water consumption.
Overall, Agriculture was by far the major sector consumed water in over the world. It is noticeable that water consumption per person in Brazil is much higher than that of the other country.
In 1990, about 500 km3 water was used for Agriculture, while the figures for Industry and Domestic were just negligible. The amount of water consumed for these three sectors then gradually increased during the years shown. In detail, Industrial sector used rosed significantly by nearly 1000 km3 over the 10 years, compared to the figure for Domestic sector which consumed about over 500 km3 in the end of the period. Specially, there was a sharply climb in the amount of water used for Agricultural sector and this figure reached the peak of above 3000 km3 by 2000.
Looking at the table, we can see that the population of Brazil is much higher than that of Congo 176 and 5.2 million respectively, while the irrigated land in Democratic Republic of Congo is 100 km2, which is nearly higher four times than that of Brazil. However the amount of water usage for a Brazilian is 359 m3 compared to the figure for a citizen in Congo is just 8 m3.
