It is clear that the percentage of population using the Internet in USA, Canada, Mexico steadily increased over the period shown (of 20 years). Overall, a much larger percentage of Canadians and Americans had access to the Internet in comparison with Mexicans, and Canada experienced the fastest growth in Internet usage.
In 1999, Internet was most popular in USA with about 20% users, followed by Canada and Mexico, at about 10% and 5% respectively. From 1999 to 2005, all three countries saw a steady increase in the number of people using the internet. In 2005, both USA and Canada reached approximately 70% of population access o the internet, compared to Mexico with only 5%.
In 2009, the percentage of Internet users was highest in Canada with almost 100% Canadians used the Internet, compared to about 80% of Americans and only 40% of Mexicans.
