Overall, it is evident that both consumption and production of energy in the US will continue to rise. It can be seen that energy expenditure will rise faster than production till 2025.
According to the graph, the consumption of the energy which was 25 units in 1950 had risen gradually and finally reached just under 100 units in 2000. Additionally, it is predicted that rise will continue during next 25 years without any hesitation.
When it comes to the production of energy, as the graph indicates, the amount of expenditure was just above 25 units in 1950. However, it had increased remarkably over a span of 25 years and reached approximately 60 units in 1975. After this significant growth, the trend polpilated between 50 and 60 units until 2000. To compare with the trends of utilisation of energy, it is clearly seen the production of the energy will not climb markedly before 2025.
