Looking at the details, one of the first things to note is the percentage of Australian exports to China experienced a rapidly growth from about 3% to roughly 27%, an increase of nine times over the period years. By contrast, the figure for India started at about 1% in 1990 and remained constant to 2000 before jumping to approximate 5% by 2012.
As for the statistics of Australian expots to Japan and the US, those were decreases between 1990 and 2012, but the former falled in a faster pace. There was a sharp drop in the data of Japan from over 25% to roughly 16%. The proportion of exports to the US began at over 10% and went down to about 6% by 2020 after hitting a low at 8% and 5% in 1995 and 2010 respectively.
