The given line graph illustrates how many commuters traveling per day by car, bus and train from 1970 to 2030.
Overall, there was an upward trend in the number of the UK commuters who used car and train to travel each day, but a downward trend in that of bus. In addition, the data of car was always the highest.
By 1970, the figures for car started on the top at around 5 millions, higher than that of bus and train, accounting for 1 million and 2 millions respectively. Additionally, the data of three transports remained unchanged in next decade. Between 1980 and 2000, the number of commuters in the UK traveling per day by car increased remarkably to 7 million, followed by a slight growth the level of train from 2 to 3 milions, while that of bus dropped to 3.5 millions, nearly 5 hundreds.
Whereas the amount of car and bus remained unchanged from 2000 to 2010, the data of bus experienced a decline to over 3 millions. In the last year, the average number of people traveling by car was expected to reach the top at 9 millions, bus will bottom at 3 million much lower than that of car at 5 millions.
