The line graph illustrates the US government expenditure on 4 diferent

researches from 1980 to 2008.

It is clear that , the US government expenditure on Health, Space, Energy

and other increased over a period of 28 years. Also, the figure for Health

was the most popular research field during the period shown.

In 1980, the amount of money spent on Health was highest approximately

8 million dollars, while only roughly 3 million dollars invested on Energy.

Over the next 28 years, there was a decrease in the amount of money

poured into Health was 2 million dollars in 1984, but later reached a peak of

21 million dollars in 2004 and then slightly declined by 2 million dollars in

2008. By constract, the figure for Energy was remain stable until 1992, then

there was a significant rise to about 6 million dollars at the last year.

Looking at the other research, the amount of money paid out for Space and

Other were about 7 million dollars in 1980. From1980 to 2008, the figure for

Space grew to about 10 million dollars and Other grew to 7.5 million dollars

in the end of the period after fluctuations during the period.
