Overall, according to the data, there was a dominant of fossil fuel upon renewable energy sources and this trend is predicted to remain until the end of the period taken research.
To be specific, petrol energy and gas energy followed a similar pattern over the period, their consumption started at 35 quadrillion and just above 15 quadrillion units respectively in 1980 then significantly rose in the following years. these kinds of energy sources are anticipated to increase by 20 quadrillion units in 2030. Meanwhile, the use of natural gas fluctuated over time and will end up in 2030 with approximate 25 quadrillion units.
Turning to means of renewable energy, the consumptions for these are predicted to increase insignificantly in the future except for hydropower, which is believed to fall down to just about 3 quadrillion in 2030.
