The graph below shows the amount of money spent on books in Germany, France, Italy and Austria between 1995 and 2005.

The line graph represents how much money spent on books by four countries in Europe, namely; Germany, France, Italy and Austria from 1995 to 2005.
Overall, the amount of money spent on books increased and among this incremental trend, Germany shows the highest amount of money spent on books, whereas Austria spent the largest lump sum of money on books in the later periods.
During 1995 to 2001 there was a steady increase in the amount of money spent on books for all countries. Among those, German spent the highest of $80 million in 1995 to $90 million in 2001, while French spent from $55 million in 1995 to $70 million in 2001. In Italy, the money spent on books rose to reach at $55 million by 2001, whilst Austria had the lowest spending on books of $40 million by 2001 from $30 million in 1995.
From 2001, Austria devoted most of their money on books where it rose dramatically from $40 million to $70 million by 2005, which figure was same for France for 2005's. Meanwhile, Germany remained the dominance in amount of money spent on books of $95 million, whilst Italy had the lowest spending of $60 million by 2005.
