The chart represents the changes made in global sales in three items; games software DVD/Video and CDS from 2000 to 2003. Units are measured in billions of dollars.
Overall, CDs had the highest global sales throughout the projected periods but which sales decreased every year. Meanwhile, DVD/Video and Games software showed an increasing trend.
In terms of CDs had recorded the highest global sales from 2000 to 2003. Initially, it recorded at 35 billion of dollars and which amount decreased steadily to reach at about 32 billion dollars in 2003.
In opposed to this decreasing trend, the remaining items had experienced the increasing trend. In 2000, DVD/Video had about 17 billion of sales globally whereas around 11 billion sales for Games software. This increased substantially to reach at about 27 billion and around 17 billion for DVD/Video and Games software respectively in 2002. By 2003, the global sales for DVD/video grew to reach at approximately 31 billion dollars of sales while Games software had the constant sales at 17 billion dollars.
