Given is a line graph which delineates comparative data regarding the change of average carbon dioxide emission per person (in metric tonnes) from 1967 to 2007 in 4 separate countries. A glance at a graph reveals that figures for different countries experienced different trends and while the figure for Italy and Portugal increased significantly, it decreased for United Kingdom and Sweden.
However, for all the time covered in the graph, figure for United Kingdom was exposed to the minimum change, it possessed the highest numbers decreasing from 11mt to 9mt over 40 years.
In the start of the period, average co2 production per person was the second highest in Sweden with 8mt. Nonetheless, in 2007, Sweden was among the 2 lowest co2 producing countries with numbers being exposed to a significant downward tendency to a bit below 6mt before experiencing gradual increase to approximately 10mt. At the same time, the figure for Portugal was the other lowest one with 6mt. By contrast, co2 emission in Portugal saw a considerable upward trend from 1mt to a bit below 6mt. Meanwhile, co2 production of Italy increased substantially from a little above 4mt to nearly 8mt over a 40 years period.
