The line graph illustrates the number of carbon dioxide pollution with each people in four countries, where include United kingdom, sweden, italy and portugal, during 1967 to 2007.
It can be clearly seen that the trend of seriously emissions countries are reducing. By contrast, the emissions of developing countries are increasing.
United kingdom is the leader of carbon emissions at these forty years, kept in 11 metric tonnes gradually at the first ten years, then started the trend of decreasing significantly to 9 metric tonnes until 2007. For sweden, the second high emissions at 1967, rose to 10.5 metric tonnes dramatically at 1977, reached the peak and declined sharply to 7 metric tonnes at 1987, and kept dropped down slightly to 5 metric tonnes after these twenty years.
On the other hand, for italy, started from around 4 metric tonnes to 7 metric tonnes steadily, then higher than sweden and raised to almost 8 metric tonnes until 2007 as well as became the second high emissions country. portugal kept to increase consistently from 1.5 metric millions at 1967 to 5 metric tonnes at 2007, touch with the lowest point of sweden.
