The graph below shows average carbon dioxide emissions per person in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007.
The above chart demonstrates the medium amount of emission of carbon dioxide in metric tons in 4 various countries in the particular period of time between 1967 until 2007.
Overall, it is clear that while both Portugal and Italy increased their emission during this time, United Kingdom and Sweden declined theirs.
On the one hand, although Portugal had under 2 tones, it rose its release gradually to 5 tons in 1997 and then remained still until the end. At the beginning of this period, Italy had near 4 tons of carbon dioxide emission which was soared to more than 6 in 1977 and then reached the amount of almost 8 in 1977 which like Portugal continued to be until 2007.
On the other hand, Sweden had a steady increase in 1977 with more than 10 tons which fell dramatically to near 6 ten years later. After that, it kept to have a decline until the end to almost 5 tons per person. Unlike Sweden which had noticeable change in its graph, United Kingdom had a really gradual decrease from almost 11 to near 8 tons of emission.
