Overall, it can clearly be seen that the two countries with the highest levels of co2 emissions at the start fell whereas the other two countries rose throughout the given period. Moreover, while the consumption of fish and chips was the highest at the start, it had been overtaken by humbergers by the end of the period.

in terms of the countries with the highest level of co2 emission, the percentage in the united kingdom fell steadly to 8 tonnes in the end of ther period whereas sweden increase signifficantly to 10 tonnes in1977 before experienced a significant decline until the end of the period.

regarding the other two countries with lower co2 emissions levels, italy had a moderate growth to 8 tonnes per person from 1967 to 1997 and had the same rate until 2007 while the other country, the emission rate for portugal climbed steadly over the 20 years period.
