The graph illustrates the average number of local travelers in the UK who commute daily by three modes of transport: car, bus, or train, from 1970 to 2030. Commuters number is represented in millions.
Overall, The preference for the car to travel was stable for 10 years and then started to increase significantly. From 1970 to 2010, people preferred to commute by bus rather than train, but later preferences were reversed. Demand for trains was raised considerably while for buses demand was dropped down markedly.
Approximately around 5 million indigenous people in the UK were convenient to travel by car in the 1970s and then started to rose sharply before getting around 9 million travelers in 2030. Transport by bus was chosen by around 4 million UK people in 1970, that trend was started to fall down and reaches to around 3 million in 2030. In contrast, In 1970, Only around 2 million people traveled by train but in the following years, the graph rose significantly and reaches 4.8 million people in 2030.
