The line graph compares how long to manufacture a car by four different brands in the USA from 1998 to 2005.
Overall, the amount of time producing a car by four companies showed a fluctuating decline over the periods.
In 1998, the figure for General Motor stayed the highest among the given categories, which account for 32 hours, following that is Ford making up for 29 hours. However, they witnessed two opposite trends in the following years. While there was a substantial decrease of 25 hours for Motor in 2002, the figure for Ford rose to 31 hours in 2001. Then, Motor and Ford both went down at 21, 22 hours respectively in 2005.
In terms of Toyota and Honda, their starting point was the same at 22 hours in 1998. Despite an opposite fluctuation trend between Toyota and Honda by the year 2001, they showed the same pattern of decrease from 2002 to 2005, which both of them stayed at 20 hours at the end period
