The bar chart compares, the figure of Asian elephant with different nine countries from 1977 to 2004. The data are calibrated in thousands.

Overall, it can be inferred that population of elephant had decreased over the period of time in all countries except Cambodia and Laos.

At the first glance, it can be observed that India had the highest elephants in the both year, approximately 10,000 in 1997 and 7000 in 2004. Next, Myanmar stood in second position but Fall in elephant number was comparatively lower than India. Similarly, Malaysia and Thailand experienced a dramatic fall in the figures of an elephant and both nations reached at nearly the same level of 1000 in 2006.

Proceeding further, less than or nearly 1000 elephants recorded in Vietnam and China, which was decreased Nominally. It is noticeable that, in 2006 around two hundred elephants disappeared in Sri Lanka. Lastly, only Cambodia felt a nominal rise in the number of an elephant, while Laos appeared to be unchanged in the figure of an elephant.
