The Graph illustrates the amount of access to modern technology which was used in UK homes in percentage between 1994 and 2008.

Overall, it is clear that access to modern technologies increased over a 14-year period for all the devices. Although CD player was the most popular device, DVD player become most accessible in 2008. Internet connection was the least accessible technology for home users in UK.

To begin, there was a dramatic incline in access of CD player from about 50% in 1994 to 60% in 1996 and then steady rise to 80% in 2002, after that leveled near 85% in 2008. Likewise, Internet connection which increased dramatically from 10% to 40% in 2002 and climb gradually to near 65% in the same years.

Furthermore, as regards the access to DVD player improved sharply between 1998 and 2006 from 30% to 80% respectively then experienced a steady increase to about 82% in 2008. There was a wide fluctuation in the use of Mobile phone beginning from 1996 at about 20% and the trend was upward to 80% in 2008.
