The graph below shows the consumption of fish and some different kinds of meat in a European country between 1979 and 2004
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The line graph indicates the quantity of consumed fish, beef, lamb and chicken in a country in Europe in the period between 1979 and 2004. Overall, the amount of beef, lamb and fish which were eaten witnessed a downward movement while there was a steep growth in the consumption of chicken in this country during that period.
It is clear from that graph that each person consumed 60 grams of fish, 150 grams of lamb and 220 grams of beef within a week in 1979. However, the consumption of fish per head undergo a mild drop to 50 grams in 2004 while there was a plummet in the proportion of consumed beef and lamb to 120 grams and 70 grams respectively.
It can be seen from the graph that the consumption level of chicken per person reached a peak of 260 grams in 2004 and a dip of 140 grams in 1979 per week and there was a fluctuation in the amount of eaten chicken during the period from 1979 and 2004.
