The graph below shows the differences in wheat exports over three different areas.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.

The given line graph gives information about how much wheat is exported between 1985 and 1990.

Overall, the figures for all regions witnessed upward trends with the exception of Australia’s wheat trading which decreased slightly.

Starting the period as the highest figure, Canada’s wheat export experienced a small drop of 3 million tonnes in the following year and then reached an all-time peak of 25 million tonnes in 1988. After hitting the bottom of 14 million tonnes in 1989, this increased by 5 million tonnes at the end of the period, standing close to the figure in the first year. The quantity of wheat exported in European Community followed a similar trend, but its increase was less pronounced, rising by 4 million tonnes over a 5-year period despite mild fluctuations along the way.

On the other hand, Australia exported 15 million tonnes of wheat, registering the lowest figures among three given regions in 1985. Its wheat export slightly grew from 15 to 17 million tonnes in 1986 before continuously declining in the subsequent years, hitting the all-time low of 12 million tonnes in 1990.
