The graph below shows electricity production (in terawatt hours) in France between 1980 and 2012

The given line graph illustrates how many terawatts of electricity per hour from 4 different sources France generated from 1980 to 2010.
Overall, the figures for the electricity made from nuclear and renewables energy experienced an upward trend, whereas there was a decrease in the numbers of the thermal and hydro electricity. In addition, most electricity was produced from nuclear power.
In 1980, France only created less than 10 terawatts per hour, the number of thermal electricity were much more higher, at about 120 terawatts. Meanwhile, the amount of electricity generated from nuclear and hydro energy were nearly similar, at about 70 terawatts.
In 2010, while the quantity of nuclear electricity rose markedly to more than 400 terawatts, the figures for electricity created from renewables energy increased steadily to about 40 terawatts after remaining stable for 20 years, starting from 1980. In contrast, there was a fluctuation around 50 terawatts in the amount of thermal and hydro electricity from 1985 to 2010.
