The figure for Asia was the lowest, at 67$ billion and United State reached the highest, at 184$ billion. The most popularly entertained activity was publishing, making around 40$ billion in Asia and Europe and approximately 100$ billion in America. The second most popular activity is watching television, accounting for just under 40$ billion for in both Asia and Europe and just over 50$ billion for America. The other acitvities like listening to music, playing videos and cinema occupied at under 30$ billion in both three areas.
Over the five years after 1995, the amount of money considerably increased. In America, this figure reached 257$ billion and publishing still made the highest proportion, at around 120$ billion. The figure for watching television reached approximately 100$ billion, while the amount of money spent on music, video and cinema did not remarkably change. People living in Asia and Europe only spent 110$ billion and 131$ billion on entertainment. The amount of money used for television and publishing significantly rose, while the figure for music, video and cinema only rapidly grew in both Asia and Europe.
