The given graph depicts data regarding leisure pursuits that children in Australia and New Zealand take part in the most in 2007.
Looking at the chart, it is immediately conspicuous that Australians spent more time on outdoor activities. Meanwhile, New Zealanders enjoyed much of their time staying indoor.
In Australia, the most popular leisure pursuit was sports accounting for approximately 28%. 25% of Australian young population enjoyed Going to the park. Furthermore, the record illustrated that computer games and DVDs attracted the same proportion of Australian youth, 15%. Meanwhile, activities relating to books accounted for 10%. Art and craft were the categories enjoyed the least, which was 4% lower than that of books.
Turning to the data of New Zealand, the main recreational pursuit that accounted for 25% was Art and Craft. Activities regarding books and DVDs showed a similar proportion, 17%. Meanwhile, Sports and going to the park shared the same figure which was approximately 12%. In addition, children enjoying Computer games in New Zealand accounted for nearly 14%.
