The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The graph represents the number of enquiries made in person,by letter/email and by telephone, to the Tourist Information Office in a particular city over a six month period, from January to June, in the year of 2011.

Overall, in the six month period there is an increase in the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Office. By the end of the period, most of the enquiries were made in person while fewer people reached out by letter/email. As opposed to the start of the period where most people reached out by telephone with the least numbers being in person.

From January to June, there is a steady increase in the number of people reaching out in person from just above 400 people to nearly 1900 people. Prior to mid-February it was the least used method to reach out to the Office but following this, the number of people contacting by letter or email became the least popular method. At the start, the number of people using letter/email remained almost steady at around 700 but after March the numbers dropped sharply to just below 400 by May.

In terms of contact by telephone, it shows an overall increase with a fluctuating trend starting from around 900 people and reaching to 1600 people by the end of the period.
