The given line chart illustrates how many foreign tourists to three distinct zones in a nation in Europe from 1987 to 2007.
It is clear that there was an upward trend in the number of alien visitors traveling to the coast and the mountains in a European country over 20 years. However, the number of foreigners visiting the lakes was reported to increase significantly in 15 early years of the period and then suddenly dropped at the end of it.
In 1987, the coast in a European nation was visited by 40 thousand overseas tourists, in comparison with only 10 and 20 thousand foreigners traveling to the lakes and the mountains respectively. Over the next five years, there was a fall to 35 thousand visitors from other countries to the coast while the number of people touring abroad to the lakes and mountainous regions in this European country went up to 25 thousand. From 1992 to 1997, three different areas saw the same upward trend in which coastal regions considerably surged to 50 and the lakes had a substantial increase by 40 whereas the mountains attracted 30 thousand foreign travelers.
Between 1997 and 2002, the mountainous areas and the coast had a stable increase in the number of overseas visitors while that statistics of the lakes soared dramatically and reached a peak at 75 thousand in 2002. However, in the later years, the number of people traveling abroad to the lakes in this European nation had fallen steeply to 50 thousand while the others continued to grow till the end of this period.
