The graph displays the statistics of the total number of visitors who headed to the Caribbean island further classified based on the stay at the island or on the ship over a period of 7 years from 2010 to 2017.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that over the period as a whole, the number of visitors rose significantly. Although the island stay was popular in the earlier years, the trend reversed itself by the end of the period.
According to the given illustration, in 2010, nearly a fourth of a million stayed on ships, while about 700000 preferred an island stay that adds up to 1 million visitors that year. Moving on, whilst the tourists on ships climbed to half a million, the island stay remained consistent in 2011 that totals up to 1.3 million visitors in all. Further, between 2011 and 2012, the number on the island slacked off to 300000 visitors, whereas, the graph rose for the ship stay until it remained leveled off to 1.5 million for three consecutive years in a row with a total of 2.7 million visitors.
Thereafter, 2015 onwards, staying on the island witnessed a sharp plummet before managing the same previous level(1.5million). However, at this point, ships stay took over the island stay by 0.5 million more visitors leading to a total of 3.5 million tourists.
