The given chart below illustrates how many tourists visited one Caribbean island between 2010 and 2017. Overall, it can be seen that the highest number of visitors was 3.5 million in 2017 who were both the people who stayed on cruise ships and those who stayed on island.
To begin with, the total number of tourists whether they had stayed on cruise ships or on island was only one million in 2010, and it gradually increased to 2.5 million in 2014 and then 3.5 million in 2017. In contrast, the people who prefered to stay on cruise ships, their number fluctuated over the period, and was 0.8 million in 2010, then, it has raisedto 1.5 million in 2015 before it decreased to 1.2 million in 2016, and came back again to 1.5 million in 2017.
Moreover, regarding the visitors who were staying on island itself were less than 0.5 million in 2010; however, their number rose to 0.5 million in 2011 just before it went back to less than 0.5 million in 2012. After that, it had experienced a steady increse from 2013 to 2017 to end up higher than that of tourists on cruise ships, and reached 2 million in 2017.
