The line graph demonstrates the percentages of some different industries of the Australian workforce from 1962 to 2012.
Overall, the figures for construction and mining saw a gradually increase. While the percentages of services experienced an upward trend, the data for manufacturing, agriculture saw a decline. Units in the essay are measured at percentages.
Regarding to the data of services experienced an increase in over 60 years. It began with just over a half in 1962, before climbing up to just under 80 in 2012. The figures of mining seemed unchanged, it stayed at 10 in over 60 years. Likewise, the percentages of mining stayed at just over 1 in 1962, then a slightly rise to just over 5 in 1982, before going down to over 1 in 2012.
On the other hand, the figures of manufacturing saw a decline to approximately 10 in 2012. It began with just over a one-fourth in 1962, before reducing steadily to over 10 in next 60 years. Finally, the proportion of agriculture underwent a drop through 60 years. It started at over a one-tenth in 1962, before decreasing to just under 5 in 2012.
