The graph illustrates the changes in the rate of the foreign students getting a degree from universities among different Canadian states from 2001to 2006
It is noticeable that in British Columbia, there was a big gap in 2006 and 2001,which its rate was at nearly 5 percent and 11 percent respectively. Beside that, Alberta had a decline in the figure pupils, that was followed by a significant decrease by 5 percent in 2006 while other areas wear increased.
A more detailed look at the graph reveals that the highest percentage of international students was in New Brunswick,which accounted for nearly 12 percent in 2006 and approximately 7 percent in 2001. In contrast, the provinces which hit the lowest point was Ontario at 6 percent in2006, compared to just 3 percent in 2001.
Overall, there was similar upward trend for overseas students over a period of 5 years in Canada. However, the majority of students graduating in 2006 rose at a higher rate than the number of students awarding diploma in 2001.
