This is a line graph that illustrates the changing quantity of three different types of wild birds in the UK between 1970 and 2004. Overall, it can be seen that the total number of species did not change remarkably. Although, it is interesting to note that the population of some bird types decreased considerably over the period of last two decades.
Looking at the details, for 7 years the population index of Coastal and Farmland birds witnessed a slight growth and stood nearly at the index of 110. Then, over the period of one decade, it is only Coastal species that the number of birds rose approximately 30 % more than the percentage of 1970 which followed a steady remain to the end of the span given. However, the population of Farmland birds fell down rapidly and stood at nearly 65 percent which followed stable decrease to the end of the period
There was also Woodland species that the population index changed dramatically for the first 20 years experiencing the peak level at about 110% in 1975 and hit the lowest point in 1992 which stood at the approximately 85 percent and maintained a constant remain till the 2004.
